  1. George Posselt Writes:-

The picture here in question has been sent to my mum who should be able to ID all the people - and will send the info on as soon as she has done so but be patient - she is in her 90's and a little slow on the computer. She and my dad would have been married not too long before the pic was taken - he is seted bottom row far right but withe a mis-spelt name - should be T W Posselt. He was also a pilot and flew with RANA, RAMS and CAA - he reputedly carried the first official 'Air Mail' in a flight wih a Rapide from Salisbury to Ft Vic - am trying to get the details from my mum and will pass them on.

(The error is now corrected thanks to George)

  2. George Posselt sent this information:-

My Mother says the bloke named as JF Hunter should be Jack Hinton.

  3. I see the book 'They Served Africa with Wings has the same photograph on page 106. All the names seem to be correct from what I read here.
I am interested in any information about RAMS.
I've accumulated some information including that TW Posselt was Chief Pilot and flew one of a formation of three three Auster Autocrat aircraft from England to delivery at RAMS. Also a Beech 35 Bonanza from Port Elizabeth to Salisbury.
